How to clean your TV screen safely.

Being clean is important but it is not exactly the easiest of tasks. This is especially the case when dealing with delicate instruments such television screens. Damaging a TV screen is extremely easy. The old TVs that use a cathode ray tube (CRT) for light are rather simple to clean. The same cannot be said about the flat screen televisions. This task becomes more difficult if you have a large television. This is how to clean a TV screen without damaging it: 


• Do not use just any detergent 

If possible you can avoid using detergents on your television. There are so many ways you can get the TV screen sparkling clean without ever using a detergent. Some of the detergents that are in the market can be extremely harsh on your screen thus damaging it. There are some detergents that are meant specifically for cleaning screens. Just ask the store attendant to help you get a good one for your television.

• Consider the extent of dirt 

TV screens can get a whole lot of dirt; there are those that are touched by kids with dirty hands or event paint. In most cases however, it is only some mere dust that is plaguing the television. All these will require different modes of cleaning. Wiping of dust is a really tricky affair. Most people will rub the screen in a cyclical manner. This only helps to spread the dust some more. You should wipe in a horizontal manner, moving all the dust from one edge to the other. After this you can remove the dust from the edge of the TV. 

• Using water

Clean, unpolluted water only should be use to clean a TV. Even then, you should never you more than a moistened cloth to wipe the screen. Dip the cloth in a little bit of water and then wring out all the water. This is the simplest way to clean a TV screen without damaging it but you should ensure that the cloth does not leave streaks of dust on the screen.
